Most Recently on the Beyond the Battlefront Podcast

The experience of Cancer is a challenging one, but it’s not every day that we hear the lighter side. This podcast will dive into the highs and lows of both first and second-hand Cancer experiences. We will speak with a wide range of guests: doctors, patients, family-members, researchers and - most often forgotten - the caregivers, all while exploring what’s beyond the infamous battlefront. Your host is Noor Hassan, a High School Senior, Volleyball player, and Cancer-Survivor who has been striving for health-advocacy and awareness surrounding the psychological aspects of cancer side-effects since she was diagnosed at age 4. Episodes are unscripted and will generally be released twice a month on all podcast platforms.

About

Hi! I’m Noor Hassan, a High School Senior, Volleyball player, Cancer-Survivor, and the founder of Cancer Echoes.

At the age of 5, I was diagnosed with stage 4 Wilms’ tumor, a rare kidney cancer. I was soon admitted to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan where the doctors would save my life using a protocol they had developed in New York City with funds raised from an organization called Cycle for Survival - an NPO created to advance cancer research and clinical trials for rare cancers.

Around 10 years ago, when I became cancer-free, my family committed to supporting the organization that saved my life, so we created a team named Noor’s Army that, since, has raised more than $1M. I am incredibly honored to be a part of such an amazing community helping cure rare cancers.

For the last while, I have been wanting to initiate something that I could contribute to on an even greater scale. I wanted to launch Cancer Echoes to showcase how important each and every experience is with an aim to normalize the reality of both having cancer or knowing someone who is experiencing cancer.

There are so many ways you can get involved with what we're working on at Cancer Echoes.
